WordLift, an Italian startup leader in artificial intelligence applied to SEO, closes an 800,000€ round led by Primo Ventures

WordLift, a startup founded in 2017 that developed the first artificial intelligence-based platform for website optimization on search engines, closes an €800,000 investment round with the venture capital firm Primo Ventures SGR S.p.A., that invested through its Barcamper Ventures and Barcamper Ventures Lazio funds. The investment aims at accelerating its growth by expanding its customer portfolio in the Enterprise and SME market at national and international levels.

WordLift combines a linguistic analysis engine (NLP), which supports over 100 languages, with a knowledge graph publishing platform that adopts the Linked Data standard. Web pages related to articles or commercial products are analyzed by WordLift, enriched, and transformed into a knowledge base that communicates with search engines (Google, Bing, and Yandex) and with the company's internal applications. Thanks to WordLift's technology, it is now possible to increase organic traffic from search engines and improve the quality of the user experience.

WordLift's innovative AI is used on more than 800 websites and actively contributes to the traffic growth of Luxottica Group brands, Enel X, ZoomInfo, and other large Fortune Global 500 companies.

WordLift's research and development activities are co-funded with European funds to support the progress of artificial intelligence technologies in Europe.

Primo Ventures SGR S.p.A. has completed the investment through the Barcamper Ventures and Barcamper Ventures Lazio funds. Barcamper Ventures Lazio is a co-investment fund fully subscribed by the Lazio Region through the Fare Venture initiative financed by the European structural funds of the POR FESR 2014/2020, conceived and implemented by Lazio Innova.
